With our Operations Director’s first hand experience as a former truck driver, who consistently finished in the top 10 in earned revenue as a Owner Operator with Mercer Transportation, we have a deep understanding of the trucking industry and the unique challenges drivers face. Taking a course is only effective if you have prior experience in the industry. The best dispatchers are former drivers. They know what it is like to sit in the seat waiting for that next load. They know where drivers will encounter issues, anticipate them, and have solutions at the ready. Experience is the best teacher. A monkey can pick a load off the load board. Finding the RIGHT load is about knowing your driver, their preferences, market conditions, conditions of the market you are headed into, knowing what brokers are active in favorable lanes…
